From Jacqui's (ensemble) myspace it looks like she could be tkaing over the role of Christmas eve as it says "alternating the role of christmas eve from dec 3rd".

If you go to Radio 2's website and click on the links to listen to the full Jonathon Ross Saturday 1st Dec show there is an interview with Daniel Boys. Daniel does his Rod accent and sings a bit of Purpose.
You have to keep fast forwarding the show until near the end as that is when Daniel is on
I wonder if any of the old cast will go next week to watch the new cast perform

Jacqui and Yanle will be alternating the role of Christmas Eve (With Yanle doing the role 6 times a week and Jacqui doing it twice). Yanle will be in the program as Christmas Eve, but Jacqui will be in it as 'alternative Christmas Eve', or something like that. |

Did anyone from here go to the Q tonight for the new casts first night? Would be interesting to hear reviews.
I didn't think Daniel had quite got Rod's voice on Jonathon Ross' Radio show. Nearly but not quite

Yeah I agree. I think it's good to have another interpretation though.
I have heard back from a few Daniel fans in the interval and they are loving his interpretation of the characters but they might be slightly biased.

Hey im new here but ive been "lurking" before - i was at the cast change as well - we came down especially for it and ive never sobbed so much - but the audience were fantastic and the stage door was amazing! lol
But any news on how the new cast did last night?

Apparently it went well. I was told Daniel and Mark were great but Rebecca needs a bit of practice. Apparently Yanle's Christmas Eve is brilliant. Haven't heard anything about the new Brian.

I saw Yanle as christmas back in november and she was excellent then.
