I seen it last night too. (WARNING, SPOILERS!)
SO beyond awesome, it's incredible. I did however feel like they left out LOADS of Johanna/Anthony stuff. They should have left out 'Ladies in their sensibilities' and kept in at least the first 'Kiss Me' Just because, 'Kiss Me' is awesome. 'It's the gate! It's the gate!!!'
'.............You don't have a gate.'
I'm glad they left out the Judge's version of Johanna though. I would have been scarred for LIFE, and never be able to watch another Harry Potter film again.
BY THE SEA WAS MADE OF EPIC WIN. So brilliant. and it's like the Wizard of Oz, going from a very black/white/red London, to technicolour beach-land.
It did bother me how they changed the swim suits round. Lovett was meant to have the stripes, and Sweeney the 'nice rich navy.'... But seeing Johnny Depp in that swimsuit made up for it. So halirious.
Little Preist could have been funnier, but it was good.
AND! If you noticed, when Lucy and Sweeney died, the blood just poured out of them, instead of squirting everywhere, which shows they were already dead inside.
How creepy was Toby at the end? Shame they didn't keep the 'Razor, Razor... cut cut cut!' thing in, and the Pat a cake little song he sings. But it was deliciously creepy the way he just crept out and sliced Sweeney. Haven't been that creeped out since the Doctor Who episode with the statues.

So....... anyone for a pie? ^^

I saw it yesterday! It's incredibly awesome Cringed quite a bit but meh, what can you expect?

I saw it yesterday with my best friend who'd already seen it. She promised to warn me when the gory bit were coming up, which she didn't! I wasn't expecting Johnny to be such a good singer! He's great and he's really using his hand acting physicality to the max. Love the A Little Bit Of Vicar song. Johnny dancing around with a butchers knife in his hand is great! Not sure about Helena Bonhem Carter tho...

Love "the try the actor..." I was thinking afterwards what actor would taste like. I think some of the actors I know would taste like pork cose they're self obsessed pigs.

Emi I agree about the Antony/Johanna stuff. I did miss it.

Overall I thought it was stunning. The final image of Sweeney and Lucy was just beautiful. I cried. A lot.

Have to see this again asap. Burton's best, I reckon.

Oh and the amount of blood really didn't bother me. Everyone else in the cinema was cringing and I was just like *shrug*

I thought the colour of the blood was good. Very Tim Burton to have bright red to stand out from the grimy grey isn't it?

I was watching a program on TV once, I think it was a documentary on that guy in Germany who ate his lover. Anyway, he said that human actually tastes like pork....
