I was looking through all the theatre.com videos yesterday and found out that one of the girlies I used to dance with has just been cast in the new West End version of Fame. I had no idea and almot fell off my chair! I also know people in Mama Mia and The Lion King. I'm so looking forward to my TTA course, but it means it'll be another 2 years before I get out into the world! I wanna be doing what they're doing now!
I was wondering idfanyone else knew anyone in West End? And if anyone is itching to get out there?!

I don't know anyone in the West End unfortunately, although I would love to! My sister works in a theatre in Oxford, but that's not big or well known really...although they have had a couple of well known people maybe once or twice...

I know a few people, mainly techies. A lot of my friends are currently working on Lord Of The Rings, and I know someone in the LOTR ensemble. I also know someone in the current tour of Cats. Other than that...I don't know anyone.
And it's only a year until I finish drama school and I'm out there...am very excited!

The Lord of the Rings set looks immense! I was watching the footage of it at theatre.com and even I (who am not a fan in the slightest!) want to see it.

I know a fair few people in Billy Elliot (cast and crew) and a member of the Wicked crew but that's about it. Unless Kris Marshall in 'Treats' counts.

I know quite a few people in Wicked, but that's only from seeing the show lots of times. I'm not one of those crazy fans who pretends to be friends with them though. When I say I know them, it means I was introduced to them by another cast member and they know me by name and usually stop for a chat or we take the tube home together.
Speaking of which, I am fairly sure I sat next to Avenue Q's stage manager Helen on the bus today but I didn't have the guts to say anything.
Then of course I know Clare. Most of the Q main cast recognize me but they don't know my name - except Sion I think.

Yeah, all the peeps I know I used to go to dance school with. So we used to grin and bare ballet together... Some of the girlies that I used to dance with were the 'ickle girlies in Billy Elliot and when we went to the theatre to see it yeasterday their pics are on the walls, which excited my sister quite a bit! Apparently, I also danced with the girl who opriginally played Jane in Mary Poppins, but she was about 3 at the time so I don't remember her. My friend in the Theatre Co at uni with me went to school with Simon and used to take the piss out of him! Not in a cruel way, but jokey. However, when I have met Simon i have mentioned him, but that doesn't mean I know Simon! I hate it when fans get like that. Can you imagine being them?! They must carry rape alarms with them in case of people like that... *shudders*

see that's the point with all you people studying performing arts. I think half the audiences are made up of theatre students, I tell ya. That way when I first spoke to Sion he automatically assumed I was a performing arts student of some kind I have met children at my work who are in musicals. Usually they have really braggy parents though This little girl came around September time and her mother was telling me all about how she was in Les Mis with "the lady who is going to be Elphaba next". And I'm like "Kerry Ellis". Like I wouldn't know her name!! So, anyway, after this girl left I just went out the back and wept. Seriously.

Aw bless! Poor crazeball! I would love to be a theatre student but I suck at acting...I am part of a small drama ghroup but I have little confidence so there's point about even thinking about doing it prrofessionally. Oh well, I'm happy aiming for anything in theatre design! Then maybe I will get to know some people who work backstage in shows etc.

One of my sister's sort-of friends (they fell out) has a friend that's currently in Avenue Q, but she doesn't know who this friend is. I think, though, that they'll probably be one of the understudies.
Also, Jon Robyn's brother works in the same office as my father, but I don't have the courage to ask him about it.

ahaha if we're doing friends&relatives, this girl I know from work goes to Urdang Academy which is the school Matt Henry went to and he went back to visit. Also, her teacher used to date Giles so Giles has seen a couple of this girl's shows. And they had Jye Frasca from the Wicked ensemble as a guest dance teacher or something.

I'm a friend of a friend of Chris and Mary who are joining Q in June and also a friend of a friend who's going to be in Lord Of The Rings. I have a fair few friends of friends who are famous yet I've never actualy met these people. Darn!
I'm also itching to be on the West End stage. In an ideal world I'd love to be Kate Monster but I'll need a lot of singing lessons. Cats is my next show that I'll kill to be in! Maybe not today though cose I hurt my foot earlier but still ahd to dance on in in a show tonight. Probably not the best thing to do!
