They cut it out of the film because it gave Tracy/Edna and Penny/Prudy too much in common with Amber/Velma. They wanted Amber/Velma to be distant and cold, and have nothing in common with the two main characters. *guilty look* and I saw it for the 3rd and 4th times on Monday....in costume. I got some VERY wierd looks on the bus, let me tell you! oh, and then I got on the wrong bus home, so I had to walk about a mileish home, after I got off the bus, (instead of the bus dropping me off right outside my house.) and, okay..I was in costume, blouse, skirt, Ribbon-in-hair, backpack, the whole thing, and I'm listening to the movie soundtrack, singing along to Good Morning Baltimore, You can't stop the Beat, Ladies Choice and I can hear the bells. It was ahmazing.

I think I'm going to have to see this. Particaly cose it's a musical and I have to feast my myself on musicals after being deprived on holls and also I owe my best friend a trip to see Micheal Ball. She's madly in love with him, I can't stand him, and puts up with me being insane about Ronan Keating and Q so she's well over due something in return! And hey if she goes with anyone els she'll be too scared to wait at the stage door for him with possibility of a hug from him that she'll treasure forever!

Most of it is on youtube...it's not the greatest, I think the moviemusical is better, personally.
But, it DOES have the best quote EVER.
Penny, while making out with Seaweed: 'GO TO SECOND, GO TO SECOND!'
and YOU CAN'T SEE WHERE SEAWEEDS HANDS ARE. LAWL.
Also, it's SO cheesy.

Yeah I've heard mixed reviews about the old Hairspray...It's meant ot be quite funny in some points but there are no songs like the movis musical and it's incredibly cheesy...which I don't like...

My friend's working on Hairspray and I've seen some sneaky pics and footage and it looks AMAAAAAAAZING. I'm so looking forward to seeing it.
