Went to see Avenue Q for the first time on Saturday.
I bought a SMALL programme and we went to find our seats. We were in Rows O & P and had great view of the stage.
To be honest, even having read so much about the show I didnt know what to expect, but it was much much better than I had imagined. Loved Daniel, loved his facial expressions, loved his moves, loved Princeton & Rod and loved the songs (couldnt possibly pick my fave song). Thought Mark was really good (Nicky is sooooo cute and Trekkie is hilarious!). In fact all the cast were brilliant - didnt think Christmas Eve was too screechy. Daniel looked so happy and comfortable on stage and like he was loving every minute, I definitely think he has found his "Purpose"! (sorry!)
Dont wanna give too much away but there were three empty seats nearest to the aisle next to me and if I had moved to the aisle seat I may have been involved in the "collection" - Shall remember that for next time.
We headed to the stage door and waited and waited. Several other cast members came out including Mark Goldthrop who signed our programmes and Brian Delroy said he would try and find Daniel for us but came back later and said that he couldnt find him. Anyway, I know there's not much time between shows so he was probably having something to eat.
Would highly recommend it and if I could I would see it once a week because I dont think I could get sick of it. Am looking forward to seeing it again in very soon.
