Air Hair-lair!! You'll get that when you see it Yes, Simon was fab in it...had lots of energy and pretty much carried the show for me as Paul Zerdin (bless him) performed despite the fact he was losing his voice and obviously had a very sore throat... So...guess I should go into some of the stuff you should expect to see...for those who can't get to see it also... Manu, if you want it to be a surprise stop reading here lol! Right....basically...goes from cockney to posh with three simple words. What do you breath? Air. What's on your head? Hair. Where does a fox live? A whole in the ground........uh uhh.....lair! Put them together! Air....Hair....Lair.......Air Hair-lair! Much chasing offstage by the sisters...they call him chunky which was a bit off I thought but ah well lol.... Slow dancing in the ball scene....and high school musical at the end ¬_¬ *Manu you can read again now!!All in all, the panto isn't like...amazingly good simply because a lot of the jokes aren't funny....but it's a good laugh to see Simon do it so even if you see it just for jodpurs and womanly boots then it's worth it

Sounds like the same panto I saw in Sunderland with the Air, Hair, Lair. Did they do 12 days of christmas with the toilet roles and the bra?

I'm working Woking panto this year, which is Peter Pan with the Fonz. We sing the 12 days of christmas with 'a bra that was made to fit three'! It's a first family panto thing to do. Simon's is by the same company so I bet its similar in it writing. Ours I wouldn't class as panto!

The jodhpurs are very funny! As are his shoes....I told him it looked like he was wearing women's shoes cause it really does! Very strange hearing him sing without a funny voice as well!

The ushers are really nice there. When I got there this afternoon, it was a snap decision for me and my mum, and they saw I was on crutches they moved us to better seats with more leg room and even took out a chair! That's so lovely of them! I'm gonna email them and say thank you in a tick. As for the show, loved Tights and jodpur clad Simon. He looked so funny! He remembered me at the stage door too!

I have now lost my panto virginity People are making me ashamed to say I enjoyed it though!! When Simon came out the first thing he said was "Why, WHY did you choose to sit through this?" and I was like "....but I liked it....!!!" It might just be that I'm going through such a horrible time that I really needed something to make me laugh until I cried/coughed! The puppet singing on its own was really creepy though.

Ha haa! He really doesn't like this does he...he was the same with me and Kaz when we first went! But I like it as well It's panto, it's supposed to be a little bit bad! The singing puppet is creepy! Took me a while to work out how they did it as well....

My mum kept asking how they did the puppety stuff. She'd always start with "You know how puppets work don't you? Well..." Just cose I can do the thumb thing dosen't mean I know how he sings on his own. How did he sing on his own by the way?

I think it must be remote controllled anamatronics, or at least I'm pretty sure it is. Just when they do the hide and seek part, it's because they're switching the puppets round on Paul Zerdin's arm. I'm guessing the black kind of square you can see on the bench when you look from above is there to stop the puppet from over balancing...magnets maybe? I dunno....

Ah, I thought it might be some kind of anamatronixy thing. I looked into that kinda thing for make up research so maybe the black thing is like the black thing that is also on radio mikes, the transmitter thingy.
