Delroy is very friendly. When my friend called him over, he made sure she meant him, as he said he didn't want to seem presumptious (if that's the right word).

These boards are great  im new here so *waves* First time i saw it and went to the SD there was only about 8 of us and my friend and I were talking to jon about where he is from cos we live really near and this is how it went: Me: oh it was incredible tonight Jon: thanks, where are you from? Me: We're from liverpool Jon : Oh! im from near liverpool, where-abouts? Me: well actually it's across the water Jon: THe wirral? so not liverpool *laughing* Me: *going red* yeah... no-one normally knows where that is so we noramlly say liverpool Jon: *smiling* oh well, now someone does know! Me: *dying* can i have a picture please? Jon: *still slightly laughing* course you can and before that show we ran into simon... literally ran... because i thought we were late so we were going fast around the corner to get to the theatre, and simon was smoking and i ran into him. Me: *going insanley red* Oh my god im so sorry... *walks away- and goes to my friend THAT'S SIMON LIPKIN - who? - NICKY AND TREKKIE!!- calms down- walks back* Me: Sorry, could i have apicture please? Simon : *laughing* sure they must like laughing at me lol Then this weekend at cast change I got my Q book signed and Jon came out and we were waiting and i was saying to my friend "oh, im gonna get fur all over them!" cos my book was malting and my friend said "why are we waiting ages?"(her first time stage dooring) so she says "just say EXCUSE ME" (to me) but jon heard her and turned around from the person he was talking to, gave us both a funny look and then carried on. Jon: hey Me: hey, amazing show, we were all sobbing at the end Jon: yeah it was really sad, and we had lines to get through *laughing a bit* Me: could you sign this please Jon: you'll have to hoover it Me: *totally confused - to busy at looking at poor jon and his red eyes from crying!lol* WHAT? Jon: *amused look* the book Me: *embarrased* oh god yeah, sorry ... could we have a picture? Jon: *laughing again* sure... i SWEAR they like laughing at me :S - sorry for the big post! |

Saturday was madness! I ran down a fire escape from the balcony and ended up being the first at the stage door and it seemed ages before any one else arrived, and the whole time I was hoping none of the cast would appear because I hate being the one to stop them! But then hundreds of people came running round the corner and I nearly got shoved through the door!
I am completely incapable of remaining calm in front of Simon and always ending blabbing away like an idiot (at least I didn't get him and Jon mixed up this time!). I was chatting away about The Wedding Singer and me living 10 minutes away from the theatre in Newcastle and he was like, "... right". But I got a picture with him! I felt bad, though, because when he came out he seemed like he really did not want to have to stay around for ages and there were tons of people there and he went, "do I have to get through all of you?"
Was it anyone on here who gave Julie the pineapple? Is there a story to that? Her boyfriend seemed really bemused, she was just passing him everything fans gave her and he turned to me and said, "clearly, this is why she invited my tonight, to carry all her pineapples! What is that about?!" I had no answer...
And someone had got the cast chocolate thingys from Thorntons with messages iced on, and I heard them say that the person at Thorntons wouldn't put "I'm not wearing underwear today" on!
So many random little memories...

Was it anyone on here who gave Julie the pineapple? Is there a story to that? I don't know the person who gave her the pineapple but the story is going round on Facebook... and once again it all goes back to the Kerry Ellis banana thing. Round the start of her run Kerry used to come out after a show, ALWAYS with a banana in hand. When asked to pose alone (by a friend of mine who I won't mention on here but you can easily guess) she decided to strike a pose with a banana once. It went round for ages. That spurred Clare banana pictures (poor thing... we scarred her for life) and a general rush to getting the craziest stage door picture ever but it's AGES ago now, this was all back in Feb... I do hope somebody explained this whole thing to Julie (even though it would take a long time and she still would think it's mad I guess!) otherwise she's probably still wondering! |

I thought it might be related to the banana thing! Didn't realise the crazy photo thing had spread all over the west end, I thought it was just specific to Wicked.

Yeah of course, im hopless at transfering it from my video camera to my pc though...  im trying to find out how, and if not i know someone who does it professionally, who's a friend of the family's so i'll see if he can transfer to pc files - so it may be within the weekish :S ... or if anyone knows how to go from video to pc please pm me! |

I know the story behind the pineapple - we were right next to the people who gave it to Julie when they explained it to her and the Facebook story - which I havent seen - is totally not true.
The group that gave it to her were trying to decide on the most bizarre and random thing that they could put in the hat during the money song and one of them had the idea of a pineapple so they spent all day going around London trying to find a pineapple...everyone kept trying to sell them tinned pineapple but they wanted a fresh one. Because they didnt get chance to put it in the hat they decided to give it to Julie as a present

Should really add my embarrasing moments - asking Delroy to "Do me" - I meant my programme thing lol, he thought it was hillarious, God love him. Julie recognised me! - SO embarrased and it wasnt one of those smiley "hi nice to see you" kind of things she said "oh its you" as I had said something that obviously made her twig who I was - I didnt feel like a stalker at all . I swore I would never do the stage door again, even though it was only the second time I had and seen her but then we went on Dec 1st and if she didnt recognise me she didnt say anything LOL - It was just one of those nights that you couldnt not go to the SD for. Oh and saw Mary in the foyer as she was rushing through and as she happened to stop in front of us I asked if she wouldnt mind signing our programmes etc and then spent the next - what felt like 4 hours - trying to find a pen in the bottom of my huge bag! - I had cat food and toys a plenty but could I find a damn pen! - I did say she could go but she said it was ok and she would wait but you could see she just wanted to get out of there. - I would like to point out that my friend and boyfriend that were with me did nothing but make smart remarks and yet neither of them even thought to bring a pen and then moaned because the one I had didnt work very well  |
