Laura and Me came up with the idea that we should do/make something together as a forum for simons (and any of the other cast thats leaving in dec) leaving pressie. we could each have a little job or part of the making of it, and all meet together on his last day, put it all together and to give it to him/them.
does any one have any ideas for it?

Sounds a bit like your trying to throw him out its another 6 monsth yet and he still has the oppourtunity to re-sign!

yeah good point, i didnt mean it like that. i want simon to stay! i meant if we know (sooner the date) that he's def gonna leave.

No way are we trying to push him out but if we start now then the leaving present will be better than if its thrown together in a couple weeks. hell ive even started thinking about leaving presents for Lee Mead and he hasnt even started playing Joseph yet!
It's just so its something descent instead of something rushed and if he resigns then it can be put on hold!
No way in hell does anyone wanna push any of the cast out. We love them all and would love for them to stay till it closes!

I'd like to help to.. but no way I'd try throw him out!! I love Simon! Like.. I adore him! Worship him! okey.. I won't overdo it.. But I really like Simon! I pray for him to stay.. If he leaves.. I promise I'll come that day even if it takes 18 hours travelling and 1000 punds to be there! Okey.. That sounds stalkerish.. but actually it's true  I've already done it once...... Twice... I'm crazy... I'll help with the leaving present.. but I'll still pray for him to stay ;D |

I just want him to have a nice, well thought about leaving present!!!!
And if that means starting it now then i will!!!!
I'm sorry if it sounds like were pushing him out but we really arent, i cant say it enough how much i want those three to always be in the show but they are eventually gunna leave and it would be nice to have something from the fans that says 'we really love how you made the show what is in the west end and no one will ever be as good as you were!'

I'm o into the leaving pressie for Simon! You can have all my tickets for him hehe.
and I'll do ANYTHING to be there the last day.
It's so sad for me, cus I live so far away and for me there's nothing, no shows to go to or anything before Simon's last if I can even go to that one.
It sucks to be me.

ALW/Really Useful Group usually have a 2 year maximum in one show for their performers. It's very possible Cam Mac does it the same way. However surely that leaves them with another 6 months after December?
We've purposely not pursued this 'who's-off-in-December' information yet because we thought it too early, but if everyone really wants to know...*Thom sends an email*
Kaz is moving to America in Jan and would like to see Julie/Jon/Simon's last night but at the same time doesn't want to wish them out of the show early! ;D

this might be slightly OT but I'm curious, when you say 2 year maximum, do you mean 2 years in one go? or can they leave and then maybe come back, like some of the Chicago cast? anyway I agree, if it's 2 year maximum then that means June 2008, so they might well stay past December!
to be honest I'm thinking if they all leave this time round, whoever goes during the Christmas holiday will be left seeing a brand new, not-very-experienced-with-puppets new cast! ok, that was a bit pointless but I do wonder about these things.

Believe it's two years in one go. Les Mis cast seem to come and go a lot too, and that's Cam Mack.
