I am drained so forgive me if this ends up not making sense.
I will make corrections tomorrow
It was a very emotional show. In fact it seemed to be more emotional for me than for the cast LOL. We were in the first row. In the break between mat and eve, we gave Naoko a card (which was really more of a letter) and wished her good luck. Then we proceeded to get our pole position seats.
Naoko managed to get tongue tied on her last "evelyone a reedle bit lacist" line. Which had us in stitches and I think they all had trouble keeping a straight face too.
Matt was on for Giles and during the money song when he just crouches down at the very front of the stage he dropped the dollar bill and the euro coin that were in the hat and somebody 2 or 3 seats to my left had to lean down and put them back in LOL!!
We cheered extra hard for her any time we could and got the impression we were the only ones to actually know it was her last show. Cue flashback from Ann's last!
And it bothers me so much that they don't say anything at curtain call, they didn't even give her flowers. Only Julie when they did their third bow pointed to her. The only ones who bothered to give her a goodbye standing ovation were me, my gf and Mischa!!!
Clare's bear wins at life and I'd just missed it soooo much. I hadn't seen her in her normal role for over a month and then that show was the one which was sort of off for many reasons so the last PROPER bear I'd seen was (GASPS) the Midnight matinee. No wonder I was into withdrawal.
As we imagined they took a looong time to come out after the show cos they were having drinks outside and most of them were still in when we left. I think only Matt, Julie and Gabriel had come out. Oh and Jon. Naoko came out for a smoke so we went to congratulate her again. She had a shirt that said 'R is for rad' and somebody'd turned Rad into ROD with colored tape LOL. I took a picture with her and apologized for asking last minute after I'd seen her so many times (but I managed not to say the number out loud. cos, you know, it scares me, let alone her).
She said she almost cried, and I honestly expected her to. I mean I was in tears during For now because it DOES freak me out to see a big man like Sion all red faced and teary eyed. He's so sweet. And I saw Simon wipe tears away in between bows but who knows, maybe it was sweat
