I've been on a bit of a Q spree this past week and seen it 3 times.. I'm only really reviewing last nights as it's the only show i've ever had a blooper (i've only been 8 times though.)
I went very last minute, like half 7 and decided to go see what they had. Got C7 for £20 in royal circle, fantastic seat! The show was going down fantastically... everyone around me seemed to be pretty drunk they were cheering in random places and really getting into it, which was fun... I do love a good atmosphere! Anyway, they're just surprising Kate with her monster school only the second rope didn't come down and no matter how hard they pulled, the sign wasn't coming down... Julie's pulling faces, like 'can i open my eyes yet?' so Sion starts hoisting himself up on the set trying to pull it down, which takes several attempts, much jumping, some of the 'expensive'/polystyrene set is crumbling and Sion is out of breath. The audience are cracking up and cheering and clapping and Sion looks like he's dieing and the rest of the cast are like wtf? They held it together pretty well, but then i'm a wicked regular and they're crap at keeping it together when there's bloopers.
So yeah, it wasn't that bad, but it's my first blooper and deserved a mention.
Had Luke on for Simon, first time seeing his Trekkie and I was impressed!

I love how you say that. We Wicked people are so used to numbers in the 20s that having seen it 8 times seems nothing. But if you go to the Which shows have you seen thread you'll see numbers are slightly morte "balanced" round here.

Bless the cast! Sounds like it was a great performance! Is it weird that I'd like to see a blooper?

I've seen that happen too, a while back, Giles ran up the stairs and threw the rest of the banner down.

Ah, you still can't beat some of the Phantom Phans. I've heard of 400+ and I think one person is around 700. Now that is sad.

ok that is too much. in my opinion...up to 20 i would say is almost normal, up to 50 is very fan girling, up to 100 is crazy in a good way, after that...worrying i guess, but if its over a longer period of time and with several casts...

I know someone who has LEGALLY changed their name to Christine Daae. THAT is how freaky some of the Phans are. ANYHOO, Back on topic before Jenno comes at us, frothing at the teeth, yelling 'TOPIC! TOPIC!!!'

The other justification with WWRY is that it is all about the experience of some awesome Queen songs performed live.

I'm a 30 person... then I tend to get bored (or actually, the new female lead takes over and I just don't like it) WWRY - 29 shows, then Jenna took over and it lost it's sparkle. Wicked - Currently on 28 with some more planned, but am not loving Kerry and am getting bored with her interpretation... Ave Q - 9.... but Julie's still on so yeah...
Anyways, to keep on topic and all... I went again on the 11th (I know, shoot me.) But in justification... I was supposed to be seeing wicked and had front row seats but Shona was on and I didn't really want to see her so sold my tickets to two friends and was stuck in London at 7.30pm, with nothing to do and no way of getting in my flat until my friend finished work at 10.30pm... so what's a girl to do? Get great Q tickets at 5 minutes to 8!!!
The show was as per usual.. fantastic! It deserves a special mention for the blooper during 'purpose'. The boxes started singing but the little sliding door didn't open... all you could see was Clare's foot sticking out of the gap trying to force it open.. which it didn't for a good while. Jon just stood up front taking the odd sly glance behind him trying to figure out where his ensemble boxes were. The set was shaking pretty badly as Clare kicked the crap out of it, eventually it opened, just in time to do the box slide with Luke, Clare and Julie looking pretty perplexed! It amused me anyway! And then a small one I suppose, with Nicky throwing his beer can down to the trash, but missing and it rolling around the top step very noisily with Sion just watching it in amusement.
And yes I am far too observant and have no life. The end.
