Short review as Gabe was on instead of Jon!
This show was incredibly last minute, literally got to the theatre 10 minutes before the show started. Got row AA 14 in the Grand circle for £17.50. The seat was actually pretty good, except the fact that my legs kept going numb from leaning forward to see the right side of the stage. But anyways, I spotted some empty seats and moved down to row B 17 stalls in the interval! Woot! I didn't realise how good it is to sit that close, the facial expressions have much more impact when you can see EVERYTHING!
Simon was finally back! Yay! After three Luke shows I was seriously deprived of Simon. But yeah, I kept snorting at things that he did that Luke doesn't and was getting a few funny looks off people, but whatever.
Now, onto Gabe as Princeton/Rod. He's very good, but I do have a few niggles, but then this wouldn't be a review without them! I think he needs to have a more drastic change between the characters voices, sometimes they seem to be the same voice. And I definitely think he needs to gay Rod up some more. Otherwise he was fantastic! I look forward to seeing him later in the week to see the changes in confidence and all the little things that you get when you've had a longer time in the role.
There's not much else to report. There were no bloopers or anything, the audience were a bit crap. Can't wait for Friday!!
