Tonights show was probably one of my favourite times of seeing it... I don't know why but the audience were extra good, which seemed to rub off on the cast and they were extra good and doing all these new little faces and mannerisms... it was so good!!!


Firstly, a little moan about the box office... cos I went up and asked for a £10 ticket and she really didn't want to sell me one..
Her: 'you'll miss a third of the stage'
Me: 'I know, that's fine.'
Her'Sorry, I meant two thirds of the stage, you don't see a lot.'
Me: It's really ok.
I mean, I knew the balcony would be closed, she knew it would be closed, so £10 for a Grand circle seat where I know the view is pretty good is a bargain! So I ended up in GC AA 21, which I paid £17.50 just four days ago. So yeah, don't let them persuade you into a more expensive seat.. you're almost always guaranteed to get bumped into at least the GC. And you can always spot an empty and move forward at the interval, which is what I always do!

Now... show wise... Gabe has improved so much from Monday it's unbelievable!! He's still not camp enough for me as Rod, but everything else is fantastic... he had me teary eyed at the 'You safe Lod, you special' bit, which Jon has never done before.

There were lots of little extra facial expressions and stuff, but I can't remember anything specific, so i'll wait for Manu, India or Luisa to fill you in! (Nice to meet you guys!!)

The bows were just adorable! Gabe came out and Julie cheered for him, then they joined hands to do the final bow and Julie actually wormed on stage! Woot!

I very almost nearly stage doored tonight! 11 shows and I actually went round the back. I mean, barely 20ft away from the door... I so ploud of me. Tomorrow... I may actually get some photos... at least with Gabe and Clare anyway as they're leaving an' all.

Please fill bits in guys!! I missed all the important parts!

Awwww can I be your photographer? Actually, let Chiara do it, she takes much better pics than me. Anyway I can't believe I've known you 5 months and this is the first time we've actually seen a SHOW together? (the cabaret doesn't count, neither does Idina's last cos we weren't sitting together)

I liked Gabe but to be honest everyone was so hyped that I expected a bit better maybe? He is a fab Rod but I think he needs to work on Princeton a bit. At times he just seemed to get his voices mixed up! A couple of time I could've sworn he did a Trekkie kind of growl for either character, or a voice that was too macho, again for either of them...
I'm sure I'll like him more tomorrow. I'm just so used to Jon, he's the only one who has ALWAYS been at all my previous 20 performances, which is... scary I guess, so I need an extra performance to just appreciate Gabriel fully. His acting is so different from Jon's which is neither a good nor a bad thing. Just... different!

Can I also mention Simon somehow losing grip of the sticks during Loud as the hell and Clare's priceless WTF face And I missed the wormin' at curtain call (I know, shame) cos I was actually watching Clare mimicking horns on her head (WUT???)

Jennifer keeps getting laughs in weird places!!! I don't get why "you okay Lod?" is funny. I'm sorry!!! There's plenty of funny material in this show, why laugh for THAT and then not get other jokes?

And, OMG the money song <3 <3 "HELLO!"
I've seen lots of performances I'd rate higher than this one but the hello will probably end up being my most treasured moment.

She's all, singing like normal and then 'HELLO' in Clare voice and then singing like normal again! Too funny!
I'm obviously going on bad nights then, for this to be my most favourite... but it was really good. I'm hoping tomorrow will top it though, seeing as there's more of us in for cheering and all.

okay so i am just going to randomly type things as they come into my head so im sorry if it makes NO sense...

*gabe's voice kept going all low then hiiiigh - cute
* never seen clare and simon on together...they are in fact the best ever ever ever
*julie cried in fine fine line, she did that sobby breathy thing and sqeaked at the end!
*clare's facial expressions were just genius, but as lucy they were minorly disturbing
*first time i watched the bears in loud as the hell you want...they were hilarious
* major eye contact with the cast the whole way through, sitting in AA rules! Simon must have looked at us about 1000 times and once him and clare just looked at us looked at each other then looked back and grinned! so cute!
*just before the money song i had major staring/grinning contest with clare when she knelt down
*in the money song i gave sion a random smiths achievment voucher thing i won last year...then he held it up afterwards for a second - proud moment!
*luisa and i noticed a knew cute thing i have now named Clare!sprint...she ran off stage at the speed of light looking very olympic sprinter-y
*Gabe and Julie were so cute...apparently at curtain call she wormed and grinned at him but it was luisa who saw this not me, i was too busy looking at...
*Clare!horn which basically won at life...she did them to simon and they both giggled
* when they wen't offstage and came back on at curtain call julie smacked the puppets head against the barrier wall thing...her face was like *OOPS*
*clare and simon were SO in time....and kept doing a kind of lunge step then hip manoever which was very cute/funny but weird when it was right in front of us!

erm stage door....
loads of family/friends stuff going on so i felt all out of place and luisa practically had to drag me over...
julie left and we may have been like 'ohhhh' REALLY loudly so simon turned round and said, 'it's all right- she will come back...i'm simon by the way'.....aww

Julie came back and saw luisa and came over and was like 'hiiiiiii' and hugged her (i'm not jealous AT ALL) then we talked abput myspace and had a picture during which simon was telling us to 'smiiiiile'
finally got gabe's attention and we got a picture with him taken by julie:
- simon was telling us to smiiile again
- julie had camera troubles and looked v v worried about taking it...
- it turned out too far away so she took another one while giggling and telling gabe to smile properly because he kept pulling faces!

only downer was that clare sprinted past us and we didn't stop her....

Ha!! She really was hamming it up last night... did you hear that group of men when she bent over in 'man am i bea ea eat.' There was like four men all whooping and grunting! That was disturbing!

Your stage door stuff was so cute! The cast are very nice, actually taking photos for you when most don't even want to be stopped for photos! I swear, one day, I'll get photos too.

Besides, there's others of us there too... so we can mid interval talk and sd talk and sneak to closer seats and stuff..

It wasn't four men. It was two men, and US. LOL!

Anyway how much do I love the new thing with the rope? Where they basically stare at the rope, then at Princeton, then the rope, then Princeton, for a good 2 minutes , in perfect sync... sooo hilarious. Hoping they do it again tonight.

Also, I don't know if Simon always changes this when he's working with Gabe, but keep your eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeye on the priiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiize was the longest EVAH!

Sounds like a brilliant show! Especially all the Simon/Clare bits, I do love those two together. So do we get to see the stagedoor pics? Bless Julie!

i loved julie and gabe together, they kept catching each others eyes in she gave him a HUGE cheer at curtain call (whilst worming, yessssss)
ahahah that laughing man behind us was possibly the funniest bit! hehe he actually couldnt control himself- and i thought i was bad!
but *is proud* i only snorted once!

Funny you say that, I noticed that much more last night than I have before!

And I also noticed 2 or 3 regular posting boardies outside the theatre pre-show (and down at the front in the interval I think)
