I can't believe you've had 24 hours and no one has written anything yet. Are we all still recovering? *sighs*
Ah well. It was a glorious day, that's all I have to say. I am amazed at how well Julie held it together - she was soooooo much more upset in June?
Anyway... we were doing just fiiiiiiiine... until Mary decided to cry in Back to college... and from then on I sort of had to go along... *hunts down Mary*

I....managed not to cry...nearly did...been deressed all day.
Just like...being outback all depressed, step onto shop floor and you have to pretend to CARE about these poxy animals that people want to buy.
I do care...for the animals, just not today.
I bet Mary was party thinking...score, I have no lines, if I cry, I won't blubber during this song.

I didn't cry until half way through For Now...and that's only because the auditorium erupted with cheers when they started to circle the stage...
Delroy spoke about the cast change and introduced each of the cast members who were leaving to the audience. Julie, Jon and Simon got the biggest cheers out of the lot.
Two really obvious mistakes, Money Song, Jon fell over coming back onto the stage, tripping up Jen who just kinda landed on top of him...Then Julie lost her shoe in For Now whilst circling the stage...it was just kind of left behind...

I saw the fall...that was funny, bless them.
Didn't notice the shoe until she picked it up again.
And someone recorded the last bit, when Delroy was introducing all the cast members.

I managed to hold it together pretty well but I think that was only because I was up in the balcony and no one around me knew it was any kind of special show!
I don't have videos (well, not good ones) but I have a few audio bits, including almost all of For Now (which makes me cry now, because they all sound so sad).

Ahh I see, I showed my friend that last bit, and she cried again, he only discovered Avenue Q in August, she thought they were a band before that!!

I was there at the cast change - ive never sobbed so much in my life! and jon doing "everything in life..is only for now" well i couldn't see him my eyes were that watery! and my throat really hurts from screaming but it was worth it- it was an incredible performance.
Yeah, i didn't notice the shoe thing either until she picked it up :S

I must say that 'Rod's' "I miss Nicky" and all of Jon's tears made me have a knot in my stomach!! I couldn't work out if he was normally that good at acting or if it was extra emotional!! It was Sion crying that set me off though!
Anyone got good pics from that night and the stage door - the photo section seems to be looking particularly bare!!

when i saw the show in novemeber when jon said the i miss nicky line i saw him wipe his eyes as he went across the stage but i think it was probably just extra emotional!
