Went to see the new cast, but ended up with a vast amount of understudies...
Princeton/Rod - Simon Gorton Kate/Lucy - Rebecca Lock Nicky/Trekkie/Bear - Mark Goldthrop Mrs T/Bear - Jacqui Sanchez Gary - Matt Henry Brian - Chris Thatcher Christmas Eve - Yanle Zhong
So most of them I'd seen before, in the same roles or others. And they were amazing, I honestly couldn't fault any of them. (Although I will mention some of the lighting was slightly out of time but nothing major...)
The only slight thing I can say about the cast is that the Purpose boxes could do with some work but it still looked good and most of the audience appeared to be Q virgins, they wouldn't have noticed the difference.
Apparently it was the first time Chris has played Brian and the last time they rehearsed with him in that role was 5 months ago so he did very very well.
The Bad Idea Bear puppets were the first ones I saw, not the originals but the first replacement set, much nicer looking than the second replacements and these ones can do the wiggly-nose thing.
So yeah, from what I've seen the new cast are incredible, but I only actually saw two of them. I'll have to go again when Daniel Boys and Christopher Fry are on, and I've still yet to see Jacqui as Christmas Eve.

I was there too. This was my fourth time of seeing Avenue Q but only the third in London as I had caught the show out on Broadway on Monday while I was over in New York.
The whole cast did a great job on Friday, considering there was alot of people off. I've not seen Jacqui either as Christamas Eve yet, the last time I went at a matinee she was Mrs T and the BIB.
Thought TIIFP was so funny on Friday night. ;D

Went with Hurri. Great show. Loved it when Trekkie pointed to a guy in the audience during TIIFP (after Kates's line about people don't look at porn on the internet) Rebecca also made Kate squeak out the word Mix Tape in the second verse of the song, which I thought was a nice touch.
Chris's Brian was perfect and I was amazed to learn it was his first time on stage with no rehearsal in 5 months.
This was the first time I'd seen it in nearly a year, and I think the new cast (that I saw) are fitting in nicely. All in all, good show!
