The fabulous Fabala sent me the recordings she managed to sneekily do at the final performance of the original west enders. I am at the moment in the process of extracting the audio from the video and then cleaning them up so the audio fuzz is either reduced or gone etc -- therefore making them able to be heard better and also put on an ipod etc -- now bear with me this is new software to me so it may take a little time but there is someone who is helping me with it who knows what he is doing it seems. Anyway I was wondering if there is anyone else who has made sneeky recordings of the show that they could send me. Of course when/if I manage to put this together I will of course be sharing, with priority being the people that have helped me out Well if they wont make us a original West End cast recording they are forcing us to make our own -- Dont expect miracles but anything is better than nothing right and it has given me a "purpose" lol

When you get them fuzz free and iPod friendly please could you send them back to me?! My convertor is broken and my laptop is not having any of it when I try to download things.

I'm sure this is against the law. I'm gonna check this out with my mate the Legal Eagle, she'll know.

I think it probably is against the law....
But hey, I know someone who was very grateful I had the Opening Night one when I gave it to them so I'm happy just as long as it's not being used to make a profit...

Yeah but is it worth being fined huge amounts for breech of writers copyright and possible jail. I'm not just bulls***ing here. I've been told by a lawyer almost those exact words. If you're gonna do it don't advertise it on the internet so openly.

I know it's against the law but... meh. It's not like you're gonna get arrested. Ticket touting's illegal, but I did that under a policeman's nose on saturday and he didn't care.
This is not making me sound like a nice person, is it?!
Oooo, and did someone mention opening night? I have Special, but is there more?

Right, i know i'm about to be told not to be a spoil sport here but feel it needs to be said. You have infringed the copyright of a) the writers of the show b) the composers of the music c) every performer on that stage and playing an instrument in the performance. They are all separate offences. All these people could sue you individually, as could BMG who own the rights to the soundtrack. In addition to these potential multiple civil actions you will commit a criminal act if you receive any money for the recording.
I would also have liked a london cast recording but infringing the rights of the performers etc is not the right course of action. You may not get arrested but you could be sued for a very large amount by many different people. Sorry, but thats how it is. The law exists for a reason.

And Fabala also specifically stated not to redistrbute her clips.
