I know it's illegal and I can get sued and all that, but it's not like I'm putting them on YouTube or selling them. The recordings were intended for me, because I wanted the BIB and Mrs Thistletwat, because they aren't on the cast recording. I honestly don't think the cast actually care. I know if it was me I'd be pretty flattered that people wanted a record of my performance instead of the official recorded one.

I appreciate that some people don't approve, and that's fair enough, but I'd rather it didn't turn into an arguement on here. As far as I'm aware it's not a banned topic, as I know it is on some forums, so I suggest if you don't approve just don't read the topic.

Guys, i'm not here to fight with you and i'm not being negative.My post isnt on here because i disapprove. I would feel awful, however, if you werent made fully aware of the situation and something happened. Don't get the impression that i'm doing this out of the need to smack you down or have a go at you, I just wanted you to know the position.

To be entirely fair it depends on the performer. Some get really angry and some instead will be the first ones to come and ask you if you have any bootlegs to share.

To be honest the first thought I had reading this topic, is that there are much lighter subjects which are not allowed on the forums so I really don't get how this instead could be allowed. My guess is that Jenno simply hasn't been made aware of it yet.

I'll say one thing though, and that's for everyone's sake. I don't really care what you discuss but if someone actually does notice, and does threaten to sue you for it, it's not a nice feeling. I've had a lot of sh*t for just two PICTURES that I had put up of Clare online and it made me feel horrible and really unsafe. I wouldn't wish that kind of feeling on anyone.

No, I hadn't. Unfortunately I've been a bit busy this week, and have only just checked the boards, and had a PM waiting for me advising me of what was going on within this topic.

Whilst there isn't a rule on this forum about the discussion of bootlegs, there is this one:

"Do not link to illegal or copyrighted material without obtaining permission first. If you wish to share this material, do so via Private Messages."

I am going to amend this rule. Having read this topic I am quite concerned that it could be interpretated wrongly by an outside reader. What you do via MSN, PM's, emails etc is your business, but please do not discuss it so openly here.
Whilst some performers are not bothered by bootlegs it is still ILLEGAL. It's a breech of copyright to bootleg shows. Just like it's plagerism if you copy text out of a book and put it into an essay.
We could still get into trouble.
