Hi guys!
Just to let you know I've been working panto all Christmas and some of the people I have been working with have been offered jobs on an Avenue Q tour, which is going ahead next year (2009).
I'm told its going to be a national tour of Britain, but I'm unaware as to whether this means Q is being removed from the West End or not when it happens. Also, I don't know if the current cast will be going or if they will be hiring a new one.
Will let you know when I find out anything more.

Interesting! For some reason, Avenue Q is a show I never saw as a tour...even though it's touring in the US...still, should be good to watch!

I would guess so at some point. This is good news as long as they keep the London production.

I imagine with the amount of puppets it must be quite a hard show to tour.

It'll be a pretty easy show to tour actually. It's go minimal orchestra/band, a simple set that doesn't really move much and no elaborate costume changes. Granted, there are a lot of puppets but they get stacked in plastic carry boxes so they are pretty easy to move around. It's nice an easy to tour compared to Chitty that has to run aroudn teh country with a flying car! x

Ha haa! That bit about Chitty did make me giggle Hmm...I can't see them keeping the London production open whilst it's touring...dunno why...but the show relied a lot on word of mouth for the West End Show...might be risky to run both...I know what I mean

Cool - I'd definitely go if it came to a theatre near me.
