I had a really good day today
Firstly I went to the Dress Circle shop (again) and bought the Avenue Q Karaoke CD.
Then as I was passing by Leicester Square I walked past the Avenue Q stage door and Jon Robyns walked by on his way to work. I stopped him for an autograph, as I've never met him before. I then asked for a photo with him and he said is it one of those one handed jobs as there was no one else around I said yes and I held out my arm and took a photo, but I looked awful in it (3 chins ) and so I said to Jon if he could take it as he has longer arms than me .
He was lovely and he took the photo. This time he had the double chin from that angle. So I have one photo with him looking good and the other photo with me looking not as bad as the other one, but not brilliant. When he had taken the photo he said is that a dog barking, as my camera makes a bark when it takes photos
Then I went to see Swimming with Sharks which stars Christian Slater. It was very good and well acted. After the show Christian came out and took photos with everyone and signed my programme. Again I had to have it taken twice as the first one cut his head off
Then I went back to Leicester Sq to go home and again passed by Avenue Q stage door and there was Simon Lipkin having a smoke in between scenes. He was on him mobile so I kept my distance and then when he finished I stopped him for his autograph. I said to Simon that I didn't see the show today but saw Swimming with Sharks, and he said he wants to see that and is it any good to which I replied that it was worth seeing.
I had my photo taken with Simon and when he had his hand on my shoulder he said sorry that he is sweating as he is in the middle of the show. Without me saying anything he remembered me from 2 weeks ago and said to me that he loved the pictures of the puppets I drew for him, Jon and Julie and that they had sent them back in the post (I asked them to sign and send a copy back to me). I said thanks and that as there was the post strike I hadn't received them yet.
Here are the photos:
A sweaty but georgous Simon Lipkin. He is really tall!
Jon's attempt at taking the photo
Christian Slater - He looks like a Wax work model but it is the real him.
