I just found these boards. I'm always thinking that there should be a really good Avenue Q forum and there is!
So, I'm Laura, I'm 20, and I'm studying architecture at Newcastle University. It's a lot of work (I'm supposed to be working right now, 4.30pm on a sunday, but I got distracted on the internet. They just shouldn't have it in the studios!).
I love Avenue Q and I've seen it twice in London and once on Broadway, and I'm going down for the cast change on December 1st. I'm going on my own because none of my friends can afford it (I can't really, I just don't eat much at the moment) so I'll be talking to randomers. I'm in seat B17 for the matinee and I don't yet have a ticket for the evening, going to sort that one out on the day!
Other musicals I love... Rent (my all time favourite, I flew to New York at summer just to see Anthony and Adam and I met them both and talked for ages and they are lovely, and Adam didn't care at all that I stalked him for 4 blocks before getting the courage to speak to him. And I went backstage at the Nederlander. So worth the plane ticket!), tick, tick... BOOM!, Spring Awakening, Wicked, Joseph. Tons of others, but those are the top ones.
What else do I do? Well, when I'm not in the studio or at work I read or paint or play the piano or party... just the general life of a student I guess!
As usual, this turned into a really long post! Ah well. Nice to meet you all!
