If the drama students who dragged me to the front with them are on here, thank you so so so much. I love you guys!
Firstly, I was delighted to see what must have been Delroys last performance! That was an unexpected, very lovely surprise. They did pretty much exactly the same set from last year, except instead of Kate prouncouncing Leicester Square wrong, she made a big deal about pronouncing it right, which was funny. Mark and Rebbecca have improved so so much. I've discovered that to truly appreciate both of their performances you need to be very near the front because they put so much into their faces/body language. Rebeccas comic-timing has really improved and Mark's toned down the cartoony-ness of Nickys voice very slightly, so I was really chuffed with those two. Daniel was superb. His American accent has got so so much better. It was great being up close and personal (ooh-er!) to him, because you really got to appreciate how much he does with his body and his face, particularly as Rod. He's the first person I've seen since Johnny Tartaglia who I've thought comes close. I think his portrayal of Rod is really sensitive, while being hilarious. He always looks like he's about to cry! Oh and as always Christopher was lovely. He was doing some very funny rapper-style moves during 'Racist. He is a very cute man ;D. Nickys other half and the actress who played Christmas Eve (sorry guys, I forget your names!) were both great. Nothing in particular I can remember, they were both just as good as you'd hope they'd be. It was particularly wonderful seeing it open air because all the audience were doing the moves and shouting out lines, ala Rocky Horror. It's great seeing it with people who are as passionate as you are.
