I think that'll probably be my christmas prezzie. It's so stupid £60 for the front row when you could go and see avenue q like 3 times in the front row for the same price. It's also about £20 train fare aswell.

The front row of Wicked are day seats for £25 (or £20 pounds). You have to line up early for them, not that I have done that, I know someone who has though.

You know what annoys me about theatre prices? I hate it when there's a really good show for a really good price and the whole run sells out in something like 12 hours! I'm still trying to work out a way of getting to see Othello at Donmar. I didn't to book on the day the tickets went onsale cose I was directing a play and next thing I know it's sold out!

Ticket prices don't bother me since I always find away to see shows cheap and still have a good view.
Im seeing Hairspray on Saturday and im paying the most ive ever paid to see something at the theatre (£30) for row D in the upper circle. I actually don't mind sitting quite high up so it doesnt bother me at all.

I spend so much on theatre tickets just cause I'm so fussy with where I sit...I can't sit high up cause it makes me feel really uncomfortable and disorientated...but I'm not scared of heights...:S Weird!

yer i'm quite picky about wher ei sit i like to sit close to the front so you can see the expressions properly. i always find you don't feel part of it near the back and higher up.

I'm like that too for the same resons as Abbie and Sian as well as being short sighted. Even with glasses I still find things are lost when I sit further back.

I've booked to see Wicked again (will be 3rd time), but I'm sitting in Row D of stalls so only 4 rows from front. Can't believe I've spent £64 on ticket I agree with you all that it's only worth seeing a show if sitting where one can see, that is why I don't buy through Last Minute.com as you can't see where you will be sitting.

My dad booked wicked tickets today in row c but he was in london today so escaped the ridiculous booking fee from ticket master. we spent £120 on tickets and because its an evening show we'll be traveling at a peak time on the trains which is another £40 for him and about £20 for me. then merchandise...... It's just ridiculous

Well my Dad and I saw Lord Of The Rings and Hairspray on Saturday and the total cost of tickets was £130 for both of us which isn't too bad. Our Hairspray seats were fab (upper circle) and our LOTR ones (half price from TKTS) were fab too.
Im going to see Wicked and Avenue Q on 14th/15th of December - Total cost is about £40 with booking fees which is fab value. Then again im not picky with where I sit at all aslong as im not in the gallery or seats with really restricted views.

Sian you will love seeing Wicked in Row C (if stalls) as I was in Row D on Saturday and excellent view. Beware of the merchandise as addictive. On Saturday I bought the following: - Braclet £20 (as it matches my Glinda necklace I bought from Dress Circle) - Unflattering Wooly Hat - Think it was £10 - T-shirt - £17!!! - Programme - £6 Think it was this price. I got it signed though by Diane (who plays Glinda) on Sunday at xmas concert
