Ditto. It's not like you can chat away to anyone during a show, so it makes no odds really (and then you can meet with heathen non-theatre fan friends before or after a show) I always do that and tend to get elderlly ladies talking to me... Ended up in The History Boys talking about my RADA interview and in The Producers about what I wanted to do in life! I don't think there is a big elderly contingent for Ave Q so maybe I will get lucky.... x awwww there was one time when i went alone... it was wen i got a tour of the set (eeep!!!!) and i was chatting to Ronnie, box office guy, who was like, "as its u ayesha, i can give u row c...stalls...any seat u like... 20 quid?" i was like. OH HELL YEAH!!!!
Then wen i bought the ticket, i bumped into matthew (the new gary coleman) and hes very huggy huggy... bles him and said he'll look out for me! AND HE DID! HE FOUND ME! lol wen he was singing schadenfreude, there is life outside your appartment and for now... he was singing to me!!!! it was HILARIOUS! so i guess, i have no shame in going on my own too... but i lilke going with others cos i like to see the joy on their face... and if theyve seen it before... they'll laugh at all the things i do... [glow=orange,2,300] lol jees that was longer than necessary[/glow]...

I get too excited to go alone. I laugh lots and feel foolish. And I like to talk about it with someone afterwards....but erm...topic.

Go alone! Tis what I always do! (well only three times so far.) I have no shame when it comes to theatre. If no one will come with me i'm more than happy to see it alone. ....I just bought some sparkly red shoes on ebay Okay, LAST thing before we get back on topic... I totally love seeing Theatre alone, or with fellow theatre nerds, becuase you can let your inner loser out and be as fangirlly as you want. Basically. That's why I'm kinda a bit effy about my friend comeing with me in June, because I'm gonna want to cry into my seat, but I know it's her first time (Q VIRGIN!) and she's gonna wanna hear every bit. I'll still be crying into a steaming ball of heartbreak, of course, but just...not as much as I would be if I was going on my own. *sings Les Mis* Oh, and I BET your sparkly red shoes aren't as cool as mine. My sexy sexy ruby slippers WIN. AT.LIFE. ANYHOOOOOO, TOPIC. Erm. I've seen it twice, (Dec 28th and Feb 24th,) but I've booked for June 2nd, and I'm most probably going for Next cast change.

leave your friend home and bring your dad for crying out loud!
Anyway. I have this funny feeling that by 2nd June I might hit 30 times *innocent face* If not I'll probably close around 26-ish.

I don't see it as a competition tbh, and def don't think I'm better than other people for seeing it more times than them... I'm a bit too old for that now! Besides I know you'd all have seen it as many times if you all lived in London, had a job etc... so please let's not start with who's a bigger fan than who Anyway, I counted. Tonight is 22 *hangs head in shame*

Yeah, wicked gets a bit crazy for the 'i've seen it more than you and am therefore a bigger fan'... well actually no. I have far too much lack of repsonsiblity and spend food/bill money on theatre tickets. That does not make me more of a fan than anyone else... just greatly in debt!

i think its weird how people have different perceptions of "obsession"...like my friends think its absolutely ridiculous do have seen it 3 times, and yet i was listening to a MusicalTalk podcast the other day (very good btw-try it!) ad they were talking about people camping for a week for idina's last and were like "now, i think thats almost bordering on obsession..." if i did that (not that i would- i love my christmas dinner FAR too much) i would probably be exiled by my "friends" (jokes- love em reallly...)
gah off topic- soorrrryyyyyy...
