Am going to see the show on saturday (evening show) and was wondering if anyone knew (or could find out!) if anyone is likely to be off. Had heard Simon was off yesterday and also Naoko and didn't know if they still would be on Saturday.....

Sion and Simon have been off so far this week, as has Naoko. As far as I know Sion and Simon are just ill, I think Naoko is on holiday.

Keep your eye on the whatsonstage.com forum, they usually like to keep the world updated with the comings and goings of those in theatreland!

If you can somehow source the number for the stage door, that is a good way fo checking the cast for the evenings show.

Sion and Simon have been off so far this week, as has Naoko. As far as I know Sion and Simon are just ill, I think Naoko is on holiday. Actually Naoko had a loss in the family and had to go to Japan, but I didn't know she wasn't back yet. I thought she was supposed to be back this week. |

Clare told me she was paired up with Matt for the matinee, which is most unusual and the only explanation I can find for it is that Gabriel had to fill in for Jon. I am regretting now that on hearing this I didn't think IMMEDIATELY of going to the evening show. I love to see every possible cast combination but I guess I was just too tired for this evil idea to hit me? |

Jon, Simon, Sion and Naoko were all off last night. Was quite disappointed actually - for me the covers weren't as good as the usual cast - particularly Matt (although am I right in thinking he doesn't normally cover for that role first?) Gabriel was pretty good but somehow his puppet mouth didn't quite move at the right times.....! Julie was fantastic as usual, great puppet faces! Not sure if they're passing round some kind of lurgy or if they are all just on holiday! Would be interested to know if anyone can find out...!
Apparently Jon was at the Wicked stage door last night though......

Matt is only the third cover for Simon. Luke is the first and Gabriel is the second, but they were both busy covering other roles. It's understandable that his performance wasn't the best. Clare said they'd never rehearsed together!!!
I heard (but not from Clare so this is NOT 100% sure) that Jon was getting married this weekend.

What role was Luke covering last night? As far as I know he wasn't on. Unless he is one of the ones that you don't actually see (are there two of them?)
