Thank you very much. I mean, I was kinda afraid of how you'd respond, considering my criticism on Nicky's OOC, but I'm just really glad you were mature to take it and didn't got blind because of it and still read the part where I said what I really enjoyed about your fic! I had bad experiences in the past with that.
Anyway, back on the "Is Nicky gay or straight" issue, I really don't see him as a one night stander at all. He's actually kinda portraited as some sort of asexual character. I mean, yes, I know there wasn't any puppeteer left to play him at the Around the Clock scene or at the Porn song, but, come on! Even Rod, of all people, uses the internet for porn (and sang quite happily about it) and Nicky didn't even show up?
Also, I've only seen the OBC (err... not live, sadly, but there's more to the dark side of the internet than porn, if you know what I mean), but I've seen some of the OLC and other London casts videos at Youtube and, in one of my favorites, where there's Simon playing Trekkie singing The Internet is for Porn: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mrlq1cw2uQ (Part 1) and www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vmWOsIPF60 (Part 2), you see Nicky saying "Nooo" too.
Well, you know... you can be gay sometimes without noticing (yep, trust me, I know >_<) and for me, Nicky is just a guy who's too slow to figure things out to himself.
Now for Kate and Nicky's theory, I had some crazy idea in the past about Nicky having a crush on her but one-sided ('cause he doesn't seem to be Kate's type), but that's just me.
Gah, I talk too much! Anyway, I love Chained. I love angsty and one-sided relationships. I can painfully relate to that. But, you know, even with life not being sugar coated, sometimes things do work out in the end and I like having hopes by reading happy endings.
I wanted so much to write a R/N story that's been on my mind forever, but I get caught on my lack of vocabulary and stop myself before even trying. But I will eventually. And I might post it here. In the mean time, I guess I'll just keep reading the good stuff.
