Anyone seen the Broadway production? Anyone planning on seeing the USA touring production? (other than us...) Anyone heard anymore about the rumoured Sydney production? Ok, we know they won't be as good as AQ London

I'm trying to persuade my mum to go and see it on Broadway when she goes to New York next week, but I don't think she is going to... I don't think any production of it can beat the London one

If it's still open when I hit NY next Autumn I'll be there like a shot A friend of mine saw Q on Broadway and said it was fantastic, but she prefers the London cast.

Thom and I (well, it's Kaz writing this post) were planning on heading out to California in the summer and Sydney in Jan anyway... Avenue Q opens in San Francisco in August which is pretty good timing and you never know maybe that Australian production will materialise in time too!

Awsome! Sounds like fun! My sister is heading out for Australia in a few months in a year so maybe I'll persuade her to go and see it if it opens

I've just realised, when/if the Touring company goes to Texas, what are they going to do about the line 'George Bush! Is only for now!' because, just in case you don't know anything about Texas, most people there are deeply patriotic to George Bush. 'The President!'....nah. *can't think of anymore because she's been up since 4AM...on a sunday.*

An American friend I took to the show tried to walk out on that line.

....So after listening to 'The Internet is for Porn' and 'Everyone's a little bit racist' and 'Schadenfreude' and watching wild sex on stage...they try to walk out of the show with 3 lines left??? That's just plain stupid!

Yes but he works for the white house so obviously has very strong political views! If someone were to insult something you felt strongly about, you'd be unhappy, right? Ok, so it's 'just' a show, but we can't expect everyone to love it as much as we do.

Ah, now the fact that he works for the white house I didn't know :S That's perfectly understandable!

I think an Australian version will definitly materialise, especially with the cult following the show seems to have over there (including it's little mention in Neighbours! ) I'd like to see the Broadway version if I ever get the chance to go to New York, but I know I will always prefer the original London cast haha! It won't seem the same not having Julie playing Kate/Lucy!!

I know you guys really love the west end production and from what I have seen they are amazing but the broadway cast is great too. Mary Faber (Kate and Lucy) is a very good Lucy and has a great voice. Howie Michael Smith (Princeton and Rod) Is incredible. He is definately the highlight of the broadway production. very funny.
