I'm seeing Rent in November and after the show there is a Question and Answer session with the cast. HOpe the show is good as it's got bad reviews |

I think so far it's had quite a mixture of reviews. They seem to be depending a lot on how fond you are of the original production.

My flatmate saw RENT when it opened and said it was dire.

HELEN. DALLIMORE. AS. MARK!! HOOWWW can that be good? And the Take me or Leave me music is laughable.
However, Luke is brilliant. Best Damn Roger ever. Denise van Outen is ALOT better than I'd thought she'd be.

I know a lot of people who like it. And some who LOVE it.
Mark's accent is a bit annoying but god can that boy sing.
OH, and Siobhan needs some stage presence....
But on the whole bloody fantastic.
The only people I've met who don't like it are the 'OMG Rent is like the most amazing piece of musical theatre ever' types.
To be fair who cares if they've changed it. The world won't stop turning.
